The Symphony Orchestra

Nis Symphony Orchestra, established in 1953, is one of the most important cultural institutions in Serbia and the only philharmonic orchestra in the country outside Belgrade. The repertoire in cludes works of art from the Baroque to 20th century music, including vocal and instrumental pieces, operas, and chamber music. Nis Symphony Orchestra is the founder and organizer of Nis Classical Music Festival  (NIMUS), an event with 35 years of tradition.
